But I would like to announce the arrival of two new additions to my photographic life:

1 – Milton Gan Photography has launched on facebook! It’s going to be a major outlet for promoting my life stage work so if you like my photos or would like to book me for a session then take a look and leave a comment! You can visit and like Milton Gan Photography here! This page features my new social media logo, created by the very talented Lauren Jennings. The full scale logo will soon be making its debut on my new website once it’s completed.

2 – Today I became the proud owner of an iPhone 4! This will mark a major change for my Project 365 as the lo-fi randomness of the iPhone 3G’s 1mp camera has now been upgraded to 5mp luxury! I’m still to try out my Best Camera and TiltShift Generator apps on these photos but hopefully they’re compatible and will continue to produce little daily delights for you!

Right I’m off to have a play!

It’s the 4th of July which means happy Independence Day for all my visitors from the US! Hope the cold beers are going down well!

This is also the 185th day of the year which means my Project 365 is officially past the halfway stage and now on the approach to the finish line! Hopefully this will be a gentle descent home but who knows what challenges lie ahead in trying to take a photo a day!

So far I have slipped up just once and I’m determined not to so it again. But it’s not easy! Most days I have an idea of what I will shoot based on my diary, but there have certainly been times when I’ve only realised late in the day that I haven’t taken a photo yet and had to get creative with what I have around me – but maybe that’s what it’s all about?!

Most of my photos have been taken with my trusty iPhone and a collection of apps – namely Best Camera, TiltShift Generator, and AutoStitch. I’ve just downloaded Camera+ which has had rave reviews, and I’ll be upgrading to the new iPhone this month (if stock arrives!) so it will be interesting to see if my style of photos significantly changes in the second half of the year. Ooh, the anticipation, the tension, the drama! Stay tuned to find out what happens next!

To view the first 6 months of Project 365 photos gathered so far just click here and select a month!

59 days or 0.16 of the year are now in the bag. Or in other words February has just joined January in the Project 365 vault.

After the honeymoon of January when I was all excited and tried to take 365 photos per day, February slowed down from a gallop to a more leisurely trot. Highlights included a Nova launch party, a shoot with two models, a trip to Noosa, and a tsunami. Almost.

Please take a look for yourself and let me know your thoughts:

As for my pic of the month? Well I can never resist a good sunset and this pano with my iPhone from the balcony of the North Bondi RSL conveyed the spectacular light show as well as an SLR could have.
